Hi there! My name is Lena Mitkowa and I’m a “Warsaw-ultras.” I was born in this city and, despite my best efforts, I’ve never managed to move away for long. In practice, it always turned out that in other – supposedly more interesting – places, life was less comfortable than in Warsaw. So all that’s left for me is to hope my city will always have a steady influx of open-minded, curious people.
The goal of NTW is to show Warsaw not just through the lens of the Old Town or Wilanów Palace. I’m presenting the capital’s everyday life and a slightly more alternative perspective on the city. I’ve gathered here all the information I’d be looking for myself if I were planning to move here (even for a short while).
This project wouldn’t exist without my team at Leniva° Studio. Day to day, we design brands—from strategy through communication and design, all the way to implementation. New To Warsaw is our space where we got to unleash our creativity and do something in our own way. It’s non-commercial, a bit brutalist, and very contextual—but most importantly, it’s just how we like it.
